Recipes, costing & waste

Build recipes from your inventory products. 86’d uses your approved invoice prices to calculate each recipe’s cost and cost % against its menu price, flags recipes affected by recent ingredient cost increases, and records waste so you can see what was lost and why.

Operations Pro and Group. The staff Recipe Viewer can be enabled per person.

Who it helps
  • Chefs and kitchen managers
  • Bar managers costing cocktails
  • Owners reviewing menu margins
The problem

Recipe costs are calculated once on a spreadsheet and never updated, so price increases quietly erode margins.

For the owner

Costs that move with your invoices, and a list of which recipes to review when they do.

How it connects

Hypothetical: a cocktail drifts above target

A margarita moves from Within Target to Above Target after a tequila price change. The bar manager reviews the pour spec and the menu price, then records the decision in the manager log.

Questions
